Bioidentical hormones may also be delivered by weekly injections. Once a week, the patient administers their own shots.  Some patients prefer this method over the creams because they do not want to apply the creams every day. Some bioidentical hormones are available via oral methods including dissolvable pills and liquid drops. Finally, custom formulated pellets may be implanted under the skin for extended period (months) bioidentical hormone delivery.
